Qeb

Senior project overview
The retail landscape has become an arena for brands to display creative advertising, clever marketing campaigns, and brand ethics. However, the silent battle between these brands has left consumers to make buying decisions based on the appeal of packaging regardless of the product. Now more than ever, brands are looking to package products in environmentally conscious materials in an effort to attract environmentally conscious buyers.

Despite these efforts, the use of environmental labeling has taken a back seat, resulting in mislabeled packaging that fails to include clear disposal instructions. More often than not, brands using catchy environmental claims are misleading and contribute to greenwashing within the marketplace, confusing even the most informed buyer. The language of recycling is complex and unstandardized to consumers across the globe which is frustrating in moments when proper disposal of product packaging weighs heavily on an individual’s ability to decipher environmental labeling.

To fix these burdens of buying, Qeb, an immerging food brand, is setting out to keep its products and packaging kind to the Earth. By significantly reducing the sizeof its recycled paper boxes and exclusively printing with plant-based ink, Qeb’s approach to packaging relies on simple but focused processes of manufacturing. Qeb maintains full transparency about these processes with labeling designed to ensure proper recycling and disposal processes, reducing in-store and at home confusion.
